Just back from walking the dog. Looked out over Salem harbor to see two boats hauling their nets INSIDE Salem harbor channel!!!!!! Ain't right. :af:

Watched as those boats pumped out the pogies in Gloucester yesterday. Also watched SEVERAL large striped bass come out of the chute as well. Gotta wonder how many striper-bycatch these guys are killing??? And how long before they wipe out the big pogies not to be seen again for another 15 years?
My dad talked to the pilot of the spotter plane who said the pogies were "right up un the beach". Police took reports of possible terrorism due the plane circling so close to shore. I betcha the fishing is dang good round there...
