Downrigger trolling HELP!!

Ok who can help me with downrigger trolling I bought a Scotty manual unit and am looking at the Z-WING rig to use instead of a lead weight. Anyone out there ever use this rig or have any suggestions on what to use????

The only time I ever used a downrigger was in MIami. We used a 5lb ball while drifting live bait. With the release it is nice because the fish hook them selves.

No, the release was for my better half. Although when we went on a striper charter up here she hooked up more than I did. I think it was begginers luck.

I am glad to see someone in the family can fish!!! Just kidding I had not thought about bait fishing with the downrigger but sounds like a good idea. I can think of a few places it would be nice to have the bait at the depth you want at all times and still swimming.
