Busted Rod Tip

I broke it just as i was getting started tonight. i started out plugging, then i put on a egg-and-jig rig. This gave me a leader of a swivel-line-snap to egg-line-bucktail jig.

I had just moved over to the next spot, and once i made my first cast, it took the plastic insert with it. I noticed it right away, but i think 'maybe i can get away with it until i get to the truck'. It's a loooong walk back over basketball sized rocks. I make a second cast and hook a mid 20 inch schoolie. The tip nearly chaffed all the way through the 30lb fireline.

What's worse is that the tip appears to be epoxied on, rather than hot glue.

Is there anyway for me to replace the insert, or get a new tip?

I'm glad to hear it's no big deal. Just bought the rod this year, i want it to last more than a year. I'll get it fixed tomorrow and be back at those fish.

Clammer, what would i do between now and christmas

And yes i know i'm an idiot for doing this, just goes to show we've all got a little googan in all of us. :fishslap:
