Does JB Weld work on ALU?
Thats my question.
Or will it blow out? |
if you get the jb weld made for alu. it will work.
|
Thanks RN.
Guess its worth a shot eh? :D |
whats you buildin?
fusor makes 2 part metal bonding adhesive :musc: |
I used it to fix a crack in the aluminum deck of my lawn mower and it has held up for 6 or 7 years. Has held up well with all the engine vibration.

Like Eben said, i've heard some horrible stories on forks and hubs breaking.:(
|
Eben: momentary lapse of reason.
Thats what I'll end up doing, esp. there's 2 family friends with machine shops. :bl: Yes, you may slap me now. :fishslap: |
Here is a link to a product I saw on TV as an infomercial, if it works as advertised its pretty amazing stuff. I claim no affiliation nor do I endorse it because I only have seen it on TV.
Gotta agree with eben on the faith factor. http://www.alumaloy.net/ |
that crap doesn't work, at least not like it does on TV.
|
not gonna use jb or anything else
just gonna have it welded and retapped. safer that way. |
Just Gorilla glue it....
 |
