whats you buildin?
fusor makes 2 part metal bonding adhesive :musc:

I used it to fix a crack in the aluminum deck of my lawn mower and it has held up for 6 or 7 years. Has held up well with all the engine vibration.

fixing a mtn bike rim... the hub is a disc brake hub and one screw was torn out/another broken off/another stripped.

was free so its worth a shot filling and redrilling/tapping.

Eben: momentary lapse of reason.
Thats what I'll end up doing, esp. there's 2 family friends with machine shops. :bl:

Here is a link to a product I saw on TV as an infomercial, if it works as advertised its pretty amazing stuff. I claim no affiliation nor do I endorse it because I only have seen it on TV.

Gotta agree with eben on the faith factor.

that crap doesn't work, at least not like it does on TV.

likwid 08-09-2005 04:12 PM

not gonna use jb or anything else
just gonna have it welded and retapped.
safer that way.
