A great method of training labs that I used on my two is a book called Water Dog by Richard Wolters. Very informative and very effective. I will look for my copy and if I find it I will let you borrow it. I think Dave has a rod to deliver to you this week so if I find it, I'll send it. If not, any book store should have it. Good luck!! Thanks for the offer choggieman I have his books, Looking for more people to train with. Did this game for 18 years and been out of it for a little while and am getting back in it with a new dog now.

Taining labs
I have a 16 mo old black male. He did well in hunt tests this summer. I training almost every day and I live near Gillette Stadium. I'm always looking for new training opportunities.

you can't blame them just train them . 6" lead and a good choker. works just fine . really what do you want that critter to do ? family pet or hunter.or perhaps . a good friendly poop machine that eat's all you're dang carcasses when you get home at 3 in the morning.then decide she wants in .AND HAS GAS !

Here is one of the good ones - I only wish we could have spent 50 more years together. I don't do the shock collar thing anymore because I've found that 98% of the time it just isn't necessary.
