Superglue?
Anyone ever superglue a cut shut? last night i took a spill and was rewarded with a nice little gash on my hand. I was considering superglue-ing it shut because I've heard you can do so, but feared that it may become infected. anyone ever do it?

Try a bandage instead - they're more effective and cheaper. Glue is for sniffing.
|
Adhesive tape butterfly will allow you to see whats going on in case of infection and allow you to dress it with antibiotic oint, etc.

thanks joe for the helpful insight once again....

I've used it a few time and it worked fine in a pinch, Great for clean slices......If you can put some bacitracin and a band-aid on it instead I would do that though
|
i knew someone around here had done it before. not really a clean cut so i'm happy i didn't go through with it.
|
I've done it quite a few times, it burns. The trick is to squeeze the cut shut and a cluple of drops on the slice. Holds quite well.
|
thanks for the tip...

I do it all of the time. As was already stated squeeze the cut closed and glue the surface skin closed. It works best on clean, not ragged cuts. It will sting but it will hold the cut closed and biodegrade on it's own. It is basically the same as a product called Dermabond.

works great........ if you wnat cancer or lukemiea. your putting some nasty chemicals in contact with your blood stream.
i like electrical tape and paper towels :D |
Sniff the glue, then burn it shut. Closes the wound and disenfects :kewl:

New Skin -- just like superglue, but with antibiotics! You paint it on like nail polish. I always keep some in my bag.
