Gotta Save Gas So.........

Bought this "new" mower.......figure with all the gas I save I can still trip to the Cape to fish! (Gonna anyways!) :laughs: Can you believe they used to mow the lawn with these antiques? :uhuh:

You should restore that mower! They work great and it is truly a classic....Kind of like an old plug..........

BigFish 09-04-2005 06:25 PM

Swede...I have an old record player I am restoring first! :laugha:

Slingah 09-04-2005 07:22 PM

thats a Gem

and sharpening them is the key...unlike regular lawnmowers they dont whack the grass with a whirling blade.....instead these mowers cut the grass like sizzors cut...and having worked on golf courses i can tell you its what they still use today because nothing cuts better than them,,,but of course greens mowers are motorized in a gang of three...the secret being to cut everytime its an inch taller.
