Promised a few people here I'd post these; from last weekend 26-27 Aug 2005

YFT about 50ish LBS
The funny looking rod is my sabiki rod with 3/4" thin wall PVC.. on the other end was a 9lb Skipjack that took 20min to land (grabbed the jig on the end of a sabiki rig)

Yeah I cant tell if that pic is gory (i.e. still dripping blood) from the throat or if that is on the coaming pads...
Overall a slow trip; I didnt get pics of the skipjack and the ~12 mahi's we got too..

Very sweet fish there RH. 12 more days and counting for me, can't wait. :happy:

Yeah; waiting on a weather window that mingles with a time window and get back out there soon... at least for day trips to the shipping lanes...

How far did you have to run to get the yft?

When you go to the shipping lanes. Is it necessary to post a watch for the big container ships? I have never been way off shore so it's kind of like the Moon to me.
