Those seem UNreal. I got the same pics from my sister in an email today, very cool if true, but I have my doubts.

Fishsmith....you could be right...after you mentioned that..i blew up a couple to look for creative art techniques and recognizable art program features that i'm familiar with and couldnt see the defects that would indicate that they were indeed fakes....but on the other hand...with what can be done with special effects and simulation...they could be just art....but if so they are very skillfully done. they are cool looking ..none the less....yep

I dunno, weird and impressive cloud formations like that aren't uncommon in the Mid-West.
I bet they're real. |
I'm not a photoshop expert, but I've seen something alot like those once. Out off Sandy Hook NJ, in the Atlantic, a couple years ago -- it looked like The Nothing (ya know, from the Neverending Story?) bearing down on us. Bright as heck above the line of low clouds, and dark below -- you could see a clear border of blue water to black, frothing water coming closer to the boat. The clouds were just rolling over each other like waves. The picture I took on my old 35mm doesn't do it justice, nor is it handy to post. Even if those pictures aren't real, they sure are cool.
