fun experience... handlining bluefish..

Out in the boat last night.. drifting eels... stuff happens, my line drifts into the boat prop..

no big deal.. cut the line... pass me the line with the eel.

handlining the eel in... thump thump thump... OUCH.. shouldnt be wrapping line around my hand..

then he released it after a few mins.. must of been a small one.. but i cant imagine had it been a bigun...

no more handlining live eels.

were you using mono?
Braid would make that interesting

Be sure to pull your prop asap and make sure there is no mono left to cut into the seal. Been there, done that.
