First time in the woods after last season.
Going to see if my stands are still there and to decide which stand I'll be in opening day.

Just got back .
5 stands out in this area all 5 there.
a few new logging roads cut about 100 yds from my stand but lots of sign around 2 of the stands. a lot of acorn out there
Works out great the 2 easiest access stands less than 100 yd walks.
1 stand is a morning the other a afternoon.
I can taste the venison now :jump:

I got the itch over the weekend so....I'm up in one my stands trimming and I spot deer headed my way. button, spike, fork-horn and a nice 8pt(small bachlor group) come under me...they where there 30 to 45 mintues. :drool::D:drool: acorns fallin like crazy...hot summers = bumper crop,,, yeah I got ate alive and hotter then a mother but was all good!!!
