Butterfly jigs
 
Anybody try these things this year?
Seems like a great deep water jigging setup. Wish I could afford those rods tho.

i bought some but haven't tried them yet. The guy on TV was nailing SBFT on them yesterday or the day before.

I saw that show and reviewed the online movie. Seems very interesting, advertising as a way to catch fish in areas of high pressure. They had Jose Webe talking about reef fishing of the fl coast.
He was saying that you could get down with this jig, 100' in seconds whereas it normally takes longer with conventional gear.

I also liked the rods, a med/fast rod rated to 200 lbs? that doesn't where our your arms? I am thinking any chuting or jiggin they maybe the rods to go for
I am trying to figure out what calstar may match that taper the rod web page doesn't have enough information to figure that out/
