Me & GB had spring fever today

Good day, bad day situation. Good for the fishing http://www.ledgerunnerbaits.com/bob20.jpg and who said winter holdovers have to be small ones :). GB caught some nice oneshttp://www.ledgerunnerbaits.com/gb.jpg as did friend Drew who's just too homley to photograph:)...just kidding drew.

Even the outboard shifted today, which with the warm weather still has me confused. Guess it felt like spring as well. Then the trolling motor crapped out, but luckily found a badly corroded inline fuse was the problem at home in the driveway come end of the day.

Back to work now, thought you'd enjoy the pics. Eat your heart out BM, when you going to join me for a day. Pick that Slipknot character up on your way north.

Slipknot 02-21-2002 05:04 PM

Good for you guys:p that's great, not so good about the wire.

GS, BM is drooling down there and would be honored to get a ride on your icesled. I have the perfect stick for it now. I just need to make up some of them there hooks.

When are we going?:p :p :p

Got to get to an electrical supply house and get me a handful of 6 gauge connectors, but I will be good to go come the weekend. Sunday looks to be 51 degrees and sunny, hows that sound for a nice winter outting. It will be crowded, so we might want to get an earlier start. Give me a call sometime Saturday and I'll give you an update on my readiness.

Hey FW - let me know when you want to meet my son & chase some holdovers!!!

Fisherwoman 02-22-2002 09:56 AM

You bet JohnR, don't really know if I can take much more of this sincerely, its really gettin the best of me. By the way check your email, I sent you a few questions this morning.

schoolie monster 02-22-2002 04:22 PM

Well, I haven't registered the trailer and boat yet. I'm waiting for my insurance stuff and for my rebate check from Triumph, which I will use to pay the tax (I bought the boat in RI and will have to pay the tax upon registration). I don't really need to wait for it, but that was my plan.

The tracker is ready though if I need to go prior to getting the new boat up and ready, and is just fine for the Thames. I threw the bow-mount minn kota back on.

I can't go this weekend, but if the weather remains mild, maybe soon. I don't know if anyone is up for a day of hooky.

I'd say if I don't get my rebate check this weekend, I'll probably just go ahead and get the reg. work done next week. Than maybe we could find a day to get down there. Maybe get Fisherwomen to join us?

Sound good?

Fisherwoman, still any cod accessible in the harbor that you know of? Again, if I get the boat stuff done, there is another opportunity to catch a fix... would you and BC be interested. Assuming you aren't ready to get your boat out.

Fisherwoman 02-22-2002 06:24 PM

Hi Schoolie Monster, How are ya doing pal?

As far as we know they are still taking COd from Nahant to the B- Bouy. They are probably in other area's too but this spot has been very productive!!!!

Smokey 02-23-2002 08:43 AM

Bob,
do the fish have any fungi growing on them this year? It sure looks like a healthly one your holding up for us to see.

Got Stripers 02-23-2002 10:02 AM

Funny this year, only a handful of the "shake & bake" fish and I don't know why. There are a lot more fish in the river as well, so maybe it's a sign that the river is getting clean, although I'm not going for a swim in it :).

Slipknot 02-23-2002 10:31 AM

Bob, empty your darn PM box!

the answer to ya question is Yes

ya phone just rang and rang, I guess you was pouring rubba.
