Spot Burners... idealists?

I was thinking... well not really, but anyway.

If it was a perfect world. I would welcome spot burning. Hell, I'd lead it. Wouldn't it be great to know HOW TO GET TO every spot in the state? In a perfect world where the following occured it would be the best!

a. Couteous people who wouldn't crowd you out.
b. NO ONE left trash.
c. NO ONE pissed off local land owners.
d. NO ONE caused trouble.

If this was the case then we could "all just get along". In theory it would level the playing field, just like communism. On paper it looks great, but human nature makes it destinned to fail.

Dude, just let it go. Really no need for all these posts on spots and such :rotf3:

Sorry...

thought this was a DISCUSSION group. Just trying to encourage DISCUSSION on the issue. NOT individual bashing.

Discussion does lead to understanding... does it not?

I don't know J.F. - I really don't. I just think and fear A LOT of access is going to be flushed down the tubes because of overexposure. When it is gone, will it have been worth the exposure?

When I hear of prominent, well known writers that did a lot of the damage writing spots later say they wished they never did, it reminds me of hearing stories from the high hook commercial bass guys wishing that they hadn't sold as many fish as they did back in the day. Not sorry they fished but sorry that the sold so many obviously the were far from the root cause, just part of it).Is writing spots wrong? No, but too much exposure is not good. Is commercial fishing for bass wrong? Not in my opinion, but when the pressure is too great for a resource, and the resource suffers, then what SHOULD have happened before.
