OMC Guidance.....
I need to replace the water pump in the leg of an OMC. I've got the manual ...but after much review, the manual has scared me. It states several times to use extreme caution....as this can be a hairy ordeal. I'm far from being a "Grease Monkey"...
...I don't mind messing with it, but I don't want to be out on the water....and suddenly encounter problems, because I missed some small detail.
....What I'm looking for is (preferably) a local dealer/mechanic, who is willing to replace the pump...I've called a couple of places...and they won't work on a 1971 OMC.:confused: they state its too old.
...any of you know anyone (who guarantees there work)...and isn't afraid of an ol' OMC.????...
