What do you know about this light?

What's the big deal with this lighthouse?

Deep water, rocks, parking and moving water. Never fished it but been there scouting and it looks nice. Another spot no one talks about for some reason:faga:

Seen some nice fish come out from under the foghorn on the fly.

It's on an island with no toll bridge.

Fish_Eye 02-27-2002 12:03 PM

Fishpart,

You obviously know the light...the currents...and the fishey nature of the place.

There is one very special quality to this light...anyone know?

Slipknot 02-27-2002 12:21 PM

Is it haunted Mike?
It looks very old.

Fish_Eye 02-27-2002 12:29 PM

Looks like I can't "slip" anything by you Mr. Slipknot.

It is indeed old.

If it's haunted it's by the ghosts of untold stripers that have been pulled out of these waters.

But there is more to this story....

JHABS 02-27-2002 12:44 PM

IT'S on at NIGHT.:smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:

Fishpart 02-27-2002 12:59 PM

It's at the location of the third oldest lighthouse in the US?

HABS leaves a set of Korkers and a rod stashed in the bushes?

It is the favorite spot of Fish-Eye to take pictures?

Tattoo 02-27-2002 01:06 PM

63 lb bass, Some Eel named Bob, Holigans....

Fish_Eye 02-27-2002 01:37 PM

Habs,

Next thing you'll be telling me is that it takes a 100 Watt bulb... and how many Russians to change it?

Fishpart,

You're almost right, but totally wrong!

Tattoo,

It would make a great bell tower for you to swing out of -- not exactly elephant man style, but certainly Quasimodo-style -- you could frighten all the fisherman away from your favorite spots.

The BIG clue!

Of course - all along I'm racking myh tiny brain for Rhody spots ;)

Little far from the average surfcaster to see up close and personal like ;) ... Although I can "see" it at night from my super-secret Greater Bahstin honey hole...

The funny thing is there is a very large print about 15 feet from where I'm sitting that has that light on it...

Fishpart 02-27-2002 03:33 PM

I feel like I have failed miserably................... I was thinking of a nice little spot in Rhody.

Spare Spool 02-27-2002 04:23 PM

The only lighthouse left with a full time lighthouse keeper?

Saltheart 02-27-2002 04:35 PM

Fishpart , the lighthouse you are thinking of is square isn't it? :)

JohnR 02-27-2002 05:09 PM

BTW - I think I see Fisherwoman's boat :D :D :D :D :smash: :smash: :smash:

Would this be the same place? THat is Boston Light, this is a different angle. I fished that place alot last year.

Fish_Eye 02-27-2002 10:27 PM

Boston Light -- first lighthouse in the US!

Fishpart 02-28-2002 07:10 AM

Saltheart you are right. I keyed in on the railing and the little white building to the front.

STEVE IN MASS 02-28-2002 08:47 AM

Aw, shucks, why didn't that work?

STEVE IN MASS 02-28-2002 09:28 AM

Okay, so what did I do wrong?

JohnR 02-28-2002 10:00 AM

You were trying to link the html page as an image file - I just put in the link to the image...

Fish_Eye 02-28-2002 10:09 AM

Steve,

Nice fish! So they do swim around that clump of rocks! :D

Hope you find a lot more in 2002.

Mike

STEVE IN MASS 02-28-2002 10:50 AM

Yeah, that's a favorite picture of mine, not just for the fish, but also for the scenery in the background.. Had it blown up and framed, and it resides on my dining room wall.

And, yeah, they do swim around those rocks. There is a good ledge......well, I better not say more, or Mr. Kav (among others) will have to kill me....;)

Canalratt1 02-28-2002 01:20 PM

Ledge huh I'd guess but the answer might be too HARD to think of...

chris L 03-05-2002 08:33 AM

never been there before or ever saw it . but I want to live there !
