Where is it? And why do you think it's a great spot?
Here's a spot that might be a little more difficult for you guys and gals to figure out.
http://fisheye.striped-bass.com/imag.../davepoint.jpg Where is it? Why do you suppose it's a terrific place to fish? Bonus question: Who's standing on the rock? |
Looks like a spot I know.....but ain't sure........then again....it looks like about three spots I know....
I'd assume that's mid to high tide?..... |
Watch Hill?
|
High tide at C.B.
But - what the heck is that can doing there? I retract my answer... |
Looks like another one of the beautiful places I haven't had a chance to fish yet. :(
By the looks of the can to the right of the rocks I would say there is probably some moving water. A combination of the correct tide and wind probably fills that patch of rocks with Striper Food:happy: |
i believe i know, but i plead the 5th.
i just want to know why this angler is there during the day!? does the guy know a little about lures??? |
Dunno....looks to me like it's getting close to sunset.......perhaps he's just starting out?
|
SeaWolf,
What makes you think he wasn't there before the sun came up! Note the amber hue of the sky...it's just after sun up. Now you know the compass orientation, you've got a can as a reference point...I know some of you fish this area...and I'm not telling where it is..........................yet! Mike |
I was thinking Sunrise, like the end of a good night or a few casts before work.
|
well it's not Hull and I don't think it's Cuttyhunk.
How about Rocky Point? Could this be the Sakonnet River point where it meets the ocean, Tiverton side? Looks like I've been by there in a boat before. You know all the good spots Mike.:p |
It starts with one of the letters in the alphabet!
Quote:
very limited parking.... and isn't there a breakwater to the right??....;) ....bear right, when you try to access those rocks.......:D ......and he seems to have the same profile that showed up in someone's belly?? rod and all......:laughs: :laughs: |
Ah....bummer...yeah, it is just sun up. The reflection in the splashing wave in the lower left corner had me thinking the other way, but after looking closer at the shodows on the rocks.......
|
Mike,
I believe that clump of rocks is just to the left of a pretty well known breachway, a relatively QUiet area, in front of a stretch of beach homes where parking is alright after early September. I've had some success there on the outgoing, but certainly need to give it another shot this season. I REALLY like the breachway though :D Chris |
OK OK, I know.....
It's New Jersey.....:laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: |
Nobody is close to having guessed the spot.
|
Tatoo....wait til Arby here's that.......
|
Goosebury in Westport.
|
Looked like gooseberry to me too but its been a long time since I have been out there.
|
Slip,
Gooseberry! Goosbury! Keep on walking! Not there yet. |
well it would be a heck of a long walk but how about Mishaum Point in Dartmouth?
|
Arby who? The burger joint?
|
not to get off this picture.....but I bet only Tattoo....knows where this is.....:D:D:D
:laughs: :laughs: ...I thought you liked being teased Tattoo??... |
yeah, yeah ......disposable camera!!!....I know...
...I never said I was Mikon Nikon!!!..:D |
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I know where that is too Boocrab, and like Tattoo said, edit that out. It should not be on the web.
|
Ah Ha, I guess I saw it just in the nick of time.
|
:hs: :hs: :hs:

FishEye....you sure the "aerial" shot of that.....in "Bloo" form...:D
....doesn't look like this???..... |
Well Bloo, if it is that way then it's still a long walk but not as far. But are there rocks there? I don't think so.
