years ago gibbs made a bluefish lure, like a pencil popper but shorter and fater. we used it like a gabs bluefish bomb. I'm tring to remember the name of the lure. we used to call it a rabbit, when I started surffishing thats what some of the old timers called it.it was weighted good, cast a mile, what was the real name? gibbs skiper was it a blistic missle? thanks ed.

Gibbs still makes a plug called the Skipper.

There were several. Gibbs made the Skipper which had just a treble at the tail, the Skipper 2 which added a belly hook, and another lure called the Jack Rabbit. That was flat sided like a Roberts or a Ballistic Missile, but made from wood. Single hook at the tail, but I can't remember whether it came with a treble or a single

The Ballistic Missile was made by Arnold Spofford on the Vineyard.
