Looking for marina/boat slip in Western CT

I am new to the salt water boating scene and don't live close to the shore. I am looking for suggestions of a reasonably priced/secure/no frills place to keep my new-to-me boat (1975 Pacemaker 26SF) for next season. I would prefer something around the area of the south end of Rt 8 or near the mouth of The Housatonic River or a little way up river. I will need shore power (no AC on boat) and water. No cable, clubhouse, pool, or anything else upscale is needed (or able to be afforded) Please let me know of any places that might fit my needs. I would like to take a drive down to the shore and look for a place, but I don't want to spend the day driving the family around w/out a good game plan.
Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.
Brandon

I don't know where you are coming from , but I know some people who have slips in westerly and pawcatuck on the pawcatuck river. Fast access to some great fishing. Threre are slips up and down the river on the ct side. I can't remember their names. On the RI side the only one I can remember is frank hall, but it is a nice little marina in avalon, which is just before you get to watch hill.

I live in the NW corner of CT...so the area around Bridgeport would be the closest to me. I would love to get a slip in RI, but the 2+ hr drive wouldn't be so good for the family.
