Quantum Cabo CBC30 PTs
 

Anybody fish this reel ? I was thinking about getting one but heard the drag system dosn't hold very well . I currently use a 6500c3 and 7000c3 and like both of them very much ( like the 6500 alittle better ) and have never had any problems .

I bought the cabo40pts and was very disappointed. I don't know if it was a lemon or not but used the reel 12 times and completely fell apart two days before heading out to Montauk. Shipped it back to quantuam in October sending me a 2006 still waiting for the new one. I've heard nothing but good things about the reel. I would never own another one again.

I took a 50 and a 60 to Alaska for 12 days of king fishing and had absolutely no problems landing kings to 28# in the fresh and salt water for 18 hours a day . I had heard there were issues with the bail prematurly closing on the 30 an 40 but not the 50 and 60 . which by the way I should mention that th 30 an 40 are the same reel body with different spools and so is the 50 an 60 . Its interesting to hear yours had different issues .

but maybe I was lucky and got good ones .
