Trolling eels at night.... alternatives?

Whats up gang? With the threat of seeing eels being a by gone for fishing I was wondering what other boater's are using for eel alternatives for trolling at night.

I am not skilled at making plugs but I am looking for something that could be trolled at night and still be effective.

I enjoy using Slugs while casting but don't find it effective for trolling.

Any thoughts?

I have never done well with tubes at night. I do well with tubes during the daytime. I am open to trying it again for night assault. Has anyone here had big success with tubes at night, especially new moon periods for big bass?

Ridler, at night in water under10' or so . I use floaters, no weight, on mono. Most of the time I don't ever use a worm, Maybe just a shot of oil.

I have found that smaller tubes on lead core work better at night and of course troll them as slow as you can go.

Black tube and worm. Always a worm IMO.

I have a couple of old black tubes in the bone pile. Weightless makes sense since 80 percent of the time I am trolling in 10' or less at night. Thanks for the input guys.

They hit the tubes in shallow water like a Tarpon! I have a beach that has 6-10' I like to slow troll them off of at night. Pots become an issue though...

When you look at the action of the tube in the water make sure its rolling slowly. This is just as important as the speed you troll at.
