Article on Eels in OTW
 

Article by Mike Plaia on desparate state of eel fishery is excellent.
January 2006 issue of On the Water in my mailbox yesterday.
I believe it is one of the best researched and best written articles
I have read. I don't know if Mike Plaia is a professional writer or
Marine scientist but he has certainly done an excellent job of
getting the facts together and presenting them in a logical and
readable form. I would suggest every striper nut read and re-read
the article. We should be proud to have a guy like Mike on our side.
And we have to get our act together on this one.

Thank you guys. I put a lot of work into researching that article and several similar one and it's nice to see that it is appreciated. Also see my letter to the ASMFC in the "time to defend eels" thread.

I might need to pick one up for this as well.... Look forward to reading it Mike...

Actually some friends do the Pike thing here in soco, I may join for a day just to see what the fuss is all about!

I just got my copy today. FWIW I think Gene did a great job on editing the manuscript I sent him.

I always seem to get my copy a week after everyone else. When it does come I can't wait to check out that article. Even reading Mako Mikes posts you get the impression the guy knows what hes talking about.
