Actually - that was me typing on Clammer's computer a little while ago - but it's all true :D ... After the game, we headed to a winter fish spot in the tin boat. First bass of 06 was on before 5pm and Mike and I ended up with close to 30 micros to mid twenty inch fish between us....It was cold, cold enough that the water collecting on the guides was freezing quickly enough to cause considerable drag on the line :err: But then the action started.

Driving back to the Clammster's house with the boat and trailer making all kinds of noise as usual, going up the main drag bouncing here and fro, heard the noise of a trailer winch quickly unwinding and then - silence. The 16' tin boat was laying in the middle of the main drag  . It ripped off ther trailer strap and the backup safety chain. Luckily a few people stopped by and helped us lift the boat back onto the trailer....

On BREIF inspection, the boat looks OK and the motor looked fine as well but will need to wait until tomorrow to be certain - always an adventure :buds: :wiggle:

Mike - thanks again for the trip!

BigFish 01-01-2006 10:08 PM

I wish I could speak Clammerease......I can't understand a thing he is saying!

Swimmer 01-01-2006 10:20 PM

Understanding

Bigfish, thier are some things that are more fun in life that would cease being fun when they are completely understood, such as the written word of the Clammer. Reading the Clammer is like trying to understand James Joyce, Ulysses. :hihi:

JohnR 01-01-2006 10:42 PM

Actually - that was me trying to impersonate the clammer....

BigFish 01-01-2006 11:20 PM

That stinks about the boat...hope she is ok Clammer!:btu:

Clammer 01-02-2006 12:58 AM

Everthing will be fine its Only a f #$%^&*((*&^ boat /// & we has a great time fishing // F #$%^&*( ice kept freezing on the guides //

Maybe they don't count in a technical sense but the boat did spend a significant enough amount of time ON THE GROUND testerday that we could cut it some slack :hihi:

Goose 01-02-2006 09:01 AM

Did you guys remember to put the plug in or did you just let the hole freeze up with water?:tm:

Bill L 01-02-2006 09:09 AM

Thats why its a good idea to always trailer with the motor in the up position:tooth:

Whats another dent anyways:rotf2:

Raven 01-02-2006 09:24 AM

RIROCKHOUND 01-04-2006 04:06 PM

Mike;
how'd the boat fair on closer inspection?
We didnt pick it up today, too much snow/ice plowed infront of the storage garage in Kingston....
Another road/boat story
Our 24ft RoMarine spilled out a few years back (before I was here) when a reputible marina told us they could drive the boat and trailer to their shop with busted springs... oops.. busted the axle and out she went.... no major damage, they made a tough old boat. glad to see that his son (dave) is making boats again!

Clammer 01-04-2006 10:52 PM

I havn,t checked it out // I,ll know when I put her in the water again/////:devil:
