Really Pissed Off And Done With Asteroids!!!!!
 

Just demolished the high score with over 108,000 points and when the game is over....I get "you are not logged in"!!!!!!!!!! I am bull%$%$%$%$ and doesn't it figure I top the 100,000 mark and get the high score finally and it does not register!!!!!!! Thats my luck....wish I knew why I get to play and then it tells me I am not logged in....so how can I be playing then?????:wall:

Larry, that reminds me when I was a kid, I had the all time high score on our old Atari. My brother played long hours trying to top it. On day he yelled to me that he just beat my high score....then mysteriously the power went out, not allowing him to save his score....HE HE HE.

I don't know F-18...but man...isn't the point of playing to get the high score....and then when I do.....well....how is it I am logged in and playing one minute, and then when the game ends, it tells me I am not logged in? Frustrating to say the least!:af:

for ya... Now maybe you can't post the score as
within the program because of the gliche your experiencing
but you can take a screen shot of the high score to post at S_B and be declared the winner or highest score to date.

when you get a chance PM me - and i'll tell you how to do it.

I've been dealing with the same issue. Not sure what to do for a remedy. Seems mysterious, every so often, a high score stays. For the most part, after reaching a particular score, get booted off.
The game is still fun. Like catching a fish and not having a camera.

I have had 1 person tell me of problems with Asteroids like what you mentioned and one person with Space Invaders. I PLay Asteroids the most and have not had a problem. I Played S.I., got my personal best and could not duplicate the problem. Not saying that there is no problem just that I am unable to duplicate it...

I would HIGHLY recommend that you use the Firefox broswer (really as often as you can) but especially with the Arcades...

Larry, I don't know what the problem is but hear me out, I'll give it a try. Your playing time of asteroids is "probably" exceding the maximum idle time thereby logging you off. I know that your not idle otherwise you would not get high score but the S-B site maynot recognize games as activity if you know what I mean. Also JohnR can't duplicate the problem because he is not playing as long as you because he has a life.:usd:

I have experienced being logged off after I compose a post then it says that I have to log in. Maybe I take to long but that what happens.

When you log in do you check "remember password" box, maybe that could be the problem.

ya know for a red sox fan he is pretty smart .

Whenever I'm composing a post or a PM, I always make sure to do a "Control C" before I click "Send This Message", or Submit Reply". That way, if I've exceeded idle time (never know when the dogs are gonna suddenly be scratchin' to go out, or the Missus suddenly thinks of a HoneyDo) and I get logged out, I can just do a "Control V" when I get logged back in.
