Larry I would worry more about your team losing in Denver as it has become almost a habit:rolleyes:

BigFish 01-08-2006 07:54 PM

Mike P 01-08-2006 10:15 PM

You are wrong, Larry---the Pats lost, 28-20, earlier in this season ;)

BigFish 01-08-2006 10:25 PM

 I said I may be wrong.:bl:

fishaholic18 01-08-2006 11:11 PM

If Pitt Plays Indy Next Week......maybe they will cheap shot Manning and knock him out of the game...:bl:

Squid kids Dad 01-08-2006 11:15 PM

Ummmm ..Whens the last time the Pats have lost to the same team in the same season???

BigFish 01-09-2006 07:47 AM

When they Lost in Denver earlier this season they were without Dillon, Faulk, Bruschi, and Seymour.......And they HAD Starks.

It will be a whole different game this time around. Pats defense has been consistently stopping the run as of late. If they shut down Denvers running game then it will be up to Jake Plummer to beat them....I like the sound of that.

Patriots fans be nice to the Steelers and cheer for them this coming weekend out of all the teams left in the AFC playoffs the Steelers are probably least of my concern. Also what could be better than to send all the yellow towels home yet again!

You guys are a joke you need to worry about Denver the same Denver that smashed you 28-3 by the half the last time they played and I dont want to hear the injury card pulled again everyone has them its called the NFL, typical bigheaded Pats fan reply counting the days until the King is dethroned:uhuh:

BigFish 01-09-2006 07:57 PM

Yeah....28-3 by the half and we almost...yeah, I said it...almost came back to beat them...if we had 2 more minutes we would have....final score was what....28-21?

afterhours 01-09-2006 08:02 PM

there's only one joker 'round here sparky, always spoutin' off, rooting for a bunch of sore losers. maybe you can spout when those clowns win something in the present- not 30 yrs ago. did i say that out loud?:wiggle:

Ya youre right Don what was I thinking, I'll put our Lombardi's next yours and we'll compare:sleeps:

Bigfish the score of that game does not indicate a thing the Pats were beat pretty bad and they were allowed garbage time in the form of prevent D

Vectorfisher 01-09-2006 08:27 PM

And one other thing you are wrong about Mr Afterhours I don't come on here and spout off, I merely keep your bigheads in check, I never said a word until last year you guys were on here trashing Ben R being a rookie and how the champs would roll through the Burgh last year in a reg season game. I didn't say anything this past weekend until you spouted off so what goes around comes around don't like it dont start it NUFF SAID

afterhours 01-09-2006 08:32 PM

bullchit.

Vectorfisher 01-09-2006 08:35 PM

Larry,
If Carolina had 2 more minutes in their super bowl against the Pats, they would have won that super bowl!!!
But they only have 60 minutes in EVERY game !!!:fishslap:

The Pats won't have to clean the tarnish off their three first ;)

Even my clowns have won two since your guys won their last one :humpty:

Bronko 01-10-2006 07:51 AM

Vector, Cowher is your problem..

He is a fraud. His act is so tired, with his clenched jaw and protruding chin, his arms crossed, spittle flying everywhere as he yells.... as he poses for the camera when he is angry. He is turning into the laughing stock of the league. Every winter he leads one of the "best Steeler teams in quite some time" into another disapponting playoff loss. Pittsburgh has actually had a few really good teams over Cowhers 13 years as coach and they have done nothing! Yea they won a playoff game here or there, but clearly cannot win a big game. Taking shots at the Pats only makes you look foolish. Three Superbowls in four years with the distinct possibility of three in a row and four out of five. Let me slim your list down a little to what actually counts....

• Jan. 23, 2005 - AFC Championship - New England 41, Pittsburgh 27
• Jan. 11, 2003 - Tennessee 34, Pittsburgh 31 (OT) - AFC Divisional
• Jan. 27, 2002 - New England 24, Pittsburgh 17 - AFC Championship
• Jan. 11, 1998 - Denver 24, Pittsburgh 21 - AFC Championship
• Jan. 5, 1997 - New England 28, Pittsburgh 3 - AFC Divisional
January 28, 1996 - Dallas 27, Pittsburgh 17 - Super Bowl
• Jan. 15, 1995 - San Diego 17, Pittsburgh 13 - AFC Championship
Jan. 8, 1994 - Kansas City 24, Pittsburgh 23 - AFC Wild Card
• Jan. 9, 1993 - Buffalo 24, Pittsburgh 3 - AFC Divisional

:rotf3:

The Dad Fisherman 01-10-2006 09:52 AM

VF, All that chart shows is that after their last Superbowl win they had 13 years of playoff appearences Where they didn't bring the prize home....most of them under Cowher.

When I was a kid I loved the Steelers, Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, Mean Joe Green.....but those days are LONG Gone.

You never know but 25 years from now there will probably be some Houston Texan fan busting our Chops because we are still talking About the Pat's 3-peat :D While we're giving him crap about his team's Superbowl win

Vectorfisher 01-10-2006 10:01 AM

:rotf3:[/QUOTE]

Show me once where I have taken a shot at the Pats, like I stated earlier I only post to keep your big heads in check, I think if you look you will see 99.9% the shots come from you guys and are aimed at the Steelers, hence the retaliation

Bronko 01-10-2006 10:39 AM

Ok, I over reacted. It's just for some reason I can't stand Cowher and his act. He makes me sick :yak4: I'd be so frustrated as a Steeler fan if I had to watch him week after week. I'll give Pittsburgh credit, they play tough smashmouth football and they have some talent. In my opinion, they just have a coach who doesn't know how to prepare for and win the big game. (That being said, John "Chucky" Gruden's angry face annoys the hell out of me too)

Now, I am going to try to get my enormous Patriot sized head out the door for a coffee. :rotf3:

TheSpecialist 01-10-2006 03:16 PM

If memory serves me right the Pats were a different team without Bruschi, Harrison, and Seymour in Denver last time, and they had that slouch Poteat in there, we are alot stronger defense this time around, and we have plenty up o0ur sleeves I'm sure............
