Urethane filler

What do you think of the Urethane filler used to secure the reel seat to the blank? My concern is that over time the Urethane will dry out and loosen . FishHawk

It's an arbor or bushing used to secure the reel seat to the blank.
FishHawk.

Ok , I got you. I have seen them at Mike T's but No I don't use then. I suppose they would work well but you have to resize the inner hole and sometimes the OD? I use masking tape for my bushings. Some people use dry wall tape.

Yes, I use masking tape on the ends and drywall tape(the stuff with the holes in it) in the center.

bushings

I'll have to ask you to show me those next time in the shop. Must be neater than gooping on two part expoxy.

Saltheart 01-29-2006 06:11 PM

Urethane bushings , masking tape , dry wall tape , ....You still got to goop on the epoxy. They are all just bushing
