You could have him (or her) bring a certified bank check. Then when the prospective buyer shows up call the bank to check about it. (find the phone# yourself instead of relying upon any info given to you by the buyer)

Coming this Sunday

And I have recieved certified checks in the mail that were fakes so people know how to print them up. so there is no way to call the Bank on a sunday I am going to call my bank and see what is the most secure method of doing an out of state transaction. I hate checks. I am still going through small claims on this guy who stole 800.00 from me gave him a check for a special order part he went right to my bank and cashed it I couldnt do a thing about it he never did the work that was in October and Im still realling over that so this transaction is going to go perfect or it wont happen.

Refuse to do it on a Sunday.
Make it a Saturday before 11 am and do not give them the title untill their check is cashed at the bank right in front of them. When you see the cash, they get the title, simple.

If they have to do it on Sunday then make it clear that it must be cash or no title will pass hands.

you are right in having to protect yourself Mike.

Why not suggest to the guy that he meats you at your bank, or his bank.

Heres a new topic

website domains .com Etc! For months I sit at this computer in work and I try to figure good ways to add traffic to my site so I go to the phone book and look for businesses that have went under or do not use the website domains any more and I take them what do you think would happen if a company is still in business and gave up there domain and I took it and they found out Im getting there traffic is there and legality towards doing this stuff or is the internet free market to do what you want.

what do you mean by "take them"? If you mean you pay the fees and take ownership, then nothing wrong, regarless if they are still in business or not. If you are somehow stealing their registed domains, then you could be in trouble.
