I can't hear nothing.
 

I got a: Sony 52x32x52x16x DVD rom, you know the thing you put the disc's in, anyway first time useing it I pop in the disc and the video comes on but I can't hear nada. I checked out volume controls seemed ok. I hate this machine:bsod:

There is a cable that connects from the DVD to your sound card, did you connect that?

I didn't know I needed such a cable. Is it marked in the back of the computer?

Tony,I take it you installed the DVD drive in your pc.
There is a small cable that should have come with your drive that will plug into your MB or sound card.

Goose, did you install the drive yourself? If yea lurch is dead on. Make sure the cable from the back of the new drive is, connected to a port on your sound card. The cable should be a grey cable with two connectors at the end, flat pieces, the ends like like lil credit cards. Start there, as far as drivers etc, your machine recognizes the item itself so that may not be it.
