I know you guys dont care for Howard Stern too much, and since he moved to Satellite Radio I Dont hear him at all anymore.. but anyway.
Howard had Al "Grandpa Munster" Lewis on his show a few years ago,I think he was promoting his Greenwich Village NY Restaurant at the time which had just opened. That was one of the funniest interviews u could ever hear. The guy still had the comedy timing .He didnt miss a beat.
He was a typical Brooklyn old timer from way back, he did it all, Circus, then burlesque & vaudeville which was way before television, like many of the other greats of that time like Milton Berle ,he even had a Phd from Columbia .He was very well read.. no dummy like some of todays poser actors. Its funny that the Grampa Munster Role is what people most remember about him. The power of television I gues. My Great Grandmother who was born in '01 Knew all those old timers ,we used to watch those reruns together ( on a black and white TV), back in the early 70's.
