Looks nice #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&.Quite a bit fatter.Have you fished one yet?
Wonder how it swims being a bit bigger in the gut.

cow tamer 02-04-2006 09:14 PM

Where are the BDKs available? Who makes them?

Skitterpop 02-05-2006 05:01 AM

14 foot plastic fish

Are those 112/0 bait hooks? And do you need a trailer to haul these monsters? Will a 22' center console handle these Slug-Go Godzillas`?

(how come your pics are so huge?)

And really....where do we find these new fat fishies?

Skitterpop 02-05-2006 05:08 AM

Those look sweet

I can tell Steve rigged them with the Octo Gamis.

Slug-Gos will soon have more competition than they want if home pourers get on this as they should.

Last year I emailed Lunker and strongly suggested they issue a 12, 15, and 18" new line model. I think bass take the 9" for a fish the way Steve fishes it.

Or I could be way off :wiggle:

After meeting Jim White this past week, I looked into a few other slug-go alternatives he had with him. Check out the 9" Tiki Shad and the 7" Tiki Lobster on this site. They are in the saltwater section. :read:

eelman 02-05-2006 08:32 AM

Steve did not rig those I did yesterday...anyway those are not gamis they are the mustad ultra point octopus...Those tiki lures are awesome also and they are a solid body bait. At any rate have to wait and see how they work, Jim has lots of luck with the bdk out of his boat and mainly, its a casting lure just like the slugs...

JoeP 02-05-2006 09:09 AM

These are similar also:

I don't like the Tiki and similar ones with the very thin back half. The Slug-go has the best thickness ratio front front to back IMO.

WACKO WTF are you #$%^&*( TO #$%^&*()_ K$%^&*()_ Y #%^&*() FMS :gorez:

RIROCKHOUND 02-05-2006 09:33 AM

IMHO; the Tiki products are worse than Yum worms as far as durability.... they probably catch though...
The houdini shad works well too... just as or more expensive than sluggos...

cheferson 02-05-2006 09:40 AM

Are there any cheaper alternatives to slug-gos? All of those were about the same price as slug-gos, couldnt find the bdk though.

NIB 02-05-2006 09:49 AM

I've actually never used either the Houdini or Tiki - just thought I'd post another alternative. I definitely won't now if they are not durable.

I'm satisfied with the Slug-gos - been using them for years - so I see no need to try another brand.

RIROCKHOUND 02-05-2006 12:26 PM

The Yum worms are soft, the yum dinger is fairly tough...
JoeP; remind me next time I see you, I'll bring a Yum worm and a houdini if I can find one...

JoeP 02-05-2006 03:54 PM

Paul are you saying there are "brokeback" surf-fishermen over in the Tiverton/Little Compton suds?? I'm staying here on the mainland.

Come to think of it I did see something weird on East Beach this one time...

Bri-

Sounds good - I've got a bunch of those hooks tied for you and Paul. I'll contact you in the next couple of weeks.

Also known at the "East Wall".....

fireguy 02-06-2006 06:42 PM

Ledgerunner made a good bait. I bought some at M&Ds a few years ago. Don't know if they're still around. Good colors and durable. I still have some I'm using.

Mr. Sandman 02-06-2006 07:10 PM

We will need a 12-18" s o f t plastic like the sluggo in BULK packs of 100 if eels are a no go.

#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&...are those things available in bulk?

Joe 02-06-2006 08:48 PM

How about going to see Brokeback Mountain in a pink
"I Survived Puzzles Rampage T-Shirt" with a big Yum Dinger hanging out your fly?

Skitterpop 02-06-2006 09:17 PM
