Rolling Stones

After watching the halftime show,I think Mick and the boys should call it quits:yak:

Katie 02-06-2006 05:42 AM

I was saying the exact thing.... I think they have lost their touch... plus sitting there watching mick walk around in like a belly shirt, not the greatest thing...lol he's 63 years old (born in 1943) i think he's had a great run

basswipe 02-06-2006 05:56 AM

That was painful to listen to.

Hooper 02-06-2006 06:08 AM

Agreed, that was just sad

basswipe 02-06-2006 06:09 AM

Aaron Neville didn't do anyone's ears a favor either.

Striperhound 02-06-2006 06:23 AM

Yeah, I think the 2 minute delay as a result of the Janet Jackson thing a couple of years ago caught the finale, Keith Richards Diaper change. :p

Slingah 02-06-2006 07:06 AM

ouch:tm:

Raven 02-06-2006 07:38 AM

it was just awful....

MakoMike 02-06-2006 07:41 AM

The sound system sucked, big time. We saw them in concert last fall and they rocked!

BigFish 02-06-2006 08:11 AM

Aaron Neville sounds like his marbles are in a tightening vice!!!! Just brutally bad to listen to!

Raven 02-06-2006 08:56 AM

rofl

aww ............... bigfish your killin me....lol :claps:

zacs 02-06-2006 09:55 AM

I can't really defend the stones, because they were not that good, but the sound engineeers should be ashamed of themselves. I know high-school kids that could have made that performance sound at least halfway decent. Seriously, CBS or whoever should be serioulsy ashamed, and heads should be rolling this morning.

I couldn't tell if I was watching an old Britney Spears or Mick Jagger.

And the sound was spectacularly bad. Was Mick singing with an earpiece or monitors, I can't remember. Must have been an earpiece with all that marching around and hip shaking, in which case there's no excuse for dropping the ball on the vocals.

The Iceman 6 02-06-2006 10:09 AM

sound was horrible...

I totally agree

janiejones 02-06-2006 10:41 AM

Anyone else see the chain Keith was wearing off the side of his pants? Something tells me they're trying too hard. :behead:

ProfessorM 02-06-2006 11:02 AM

That was god awful. Sounded like a banshee in a bear trap.

Clammer 02-06-2006 11:29 AM

it S U C K E D :gorez:

fishsmith 02-06-2006 11:32 AM

as they say "What a drag it is getting old" .

They're still my favorite band, but I agree last nights performace was lousy.

Oh well I just got Matisyahu, Live at Stubb's -- this is different, but I like.

MrHunters 02-06-2006 11:36 AM

im pretty sure I've never heard anything so bad before.... It seemed mick just kept singing no matter what was being played behind him... what a mess that was.

Mike P 02-06-2006 11:47 AM

It was like watching Willie Mays in center field, playing out the string for the Mets :(

:wid:

That's why people are calling them the Strolling Bones.

Goose 02-06-2006 12:04 PM

Think they overdosed on geritol. All mo-town woulda been more like it.

gldnbear93 02-06-2006 02:00 PM

That was bad.

I listened for a couple of minutes then HAD to change the channel.

Diamond Tackle 02-06-2006 03:38 PM

They SUCKED. IMO
I never liked them anyway.

Not trying ot brown nose you guys but AEROSMITH, now THAT was a show.

Striperknight 02-06-2006 04:08 PM

They sucked. Why do they have to sing 'start me up' all the time?
They have much better songs in their catalog.
