Terrafin satilite water temp. readings

Terrafin Software? Any body use this service here?

I had my choice between them and Oceantemp.com last year. I went with oceantemp. I just liked their website set-up better.

Is the price the same?

MakoMike 02-20-2006 12:46 PM

IIRC the prices are very close if not identical.

Can't go wrong with Ocean Temp. Just hope its not as foggy as last season as far as getting charts goes.

imo
up here it's not nessasary. down south the water is ALOT warmer. thats whear we use it. off nantucket etc.. i have the 150$ oceantemp {and so do my buds who have my password}
there isn't big temp breaks up here.everything seems to stay about the same temp offshore. 2-3 degree breaks are about the norm .
i think everything is more structure oriented. stellwagen jeffreys etc..
find the bait/structure--find the fish.
only game in town is either bluefin who move like 60 miles a day or bluesharks,,occasionally makos and threshers but not nearly as many as south of the cape.
