Big old popper?
 

I got a popper i got off the "bay" a few years ago for less then $10, the seller listed it as "old wood lure". Its about 7" and about 3 ounces and has a blue mullet paint job. The odd thing about it is the popper mouth, instead of being just carved out its a scooped metal plate, never seen anything like that before, any ideas? Thought it might be a Point Jude cause of the color, ill post a picture next week when i can get my hands on a digital camera.

Sounds like an early Point Jude. They were the only ones I can think of that did that, and the rest of the description sounds right.

Yup, it is an early point jude. Nice plug, there's not a lot of them around.
