Dandelions+Greencrabs
The boat is back in the yard and ready to go. I saw some dandelions in the back yard and Goin' Fishin has greencrabs as of this week:happy: I think its time to give the Tog at Horseneck a try this weekend just a hour or two on Sunday the tide is high at 4:38 so 1:00 to 2 or 3 would be good.
|
Good luck, I am dreamig of fishing. I will be spending most of the weekend studying , my exam is next week.
|
Just think after next week you can fish, fish, fish, fish and make more money after you pass;)
|
I know that in Rhody the season for Tog opens on May 1st.....isn't there a season opener in Ma. too???.....
....I tried checking the regs. on the Mass. DEM site.....but its a dead issue......its hidden waaaaaaay too deep for me.... |
I was told April 1st but guess would not hurt to ask my son down at marine fisheries!
|
The Mass DMF does a great job at hiding the size limits, I did bookmark it last time I had to look:
http://www.state.ma.us/dfwele/dmf/dmfabstr.htm#finfish Now good luck in deciphering the tautog regs. |
From what I can see, for rec, no closed season, minum size 16 inches - bag limit of 6...
Commercial shuts down for 2 weeks in April with a bag limit of 40... Fried Green Crabs - the ultimate Chick Flick :smash: G'Luck GB! |
Ok John is right no closed season for rec. 6 fish at 16" limit. And my son said there are reports of good tog already.
|
Hey GB....Don't take your plugging stick and don't hang around the Chickens for the current to make a rip. That place should start to show some white bellies with fleas pretty soon.
Have fun! |
GB my boat is going in this weekend :D
