What is the record number of active people in this forum at any one time?
Right now there are 45.

according to mac's post in the scuppers ther was 92 yesterday i member an 91 guest's.

right now 36M + 81G =117

There seems to be an issue with the Yahoo Spider so it is a little misleading in that a lot of that "most online" number includes Yahoo & Google indexing the site...

i wonder if some are bots

Google & Yahoo bots + visitors. Not scanning for e-mail addys and they won't be found unless someone includes it in their SIG or something... Normal scan other than that the Yahoo bot has been very agressive the past week...

In layman's terms, what does this mean?

The bots are the little software apps that go around and dredge sites for information. In the search engine world, these bots return the content on websites so that when you do a search and get your results, you are seeing the fruits of the "labor" done by the bots scanning sites.

There is a war of sorts going on between Google and Yahoo as to which has indexed more sites and pages and which is more thorough...
