I know a lot of you have been asking to see pictures of our plugs and rubbah :D. We've been working really hard to get ready for the show and now the fruits of our efforts are ready. Here is the official release of the Surf Asylum Lure Lineup. I hope you guys like what you see.....

Long Shot Popper... Polaris style... casts a long way pops great... It has many fans on this board already... I don't use any other poppers myself.

The Gazelle - Named for its ability to resemble nervous/fleeing prey this needlefish floats at rest with just it's nose poking through the surface. Often I've felt fish "brush"past the lure when I feel this, a few downward jerks with the rod-tip brings the lure to life as it skips and jumps as if being pursued, this action usually results in a thunderous strike. my largest bass on needle fell for this lure, a fish that went 25-26#.

The Slowpoke Pencil Popper - Another plug that has a few fans on the site. The Slowpoke can be worked fast, moderately and agonizingly slow. Casts a long way and has accounted for some impressive catches... most notably T.Lapinski taking several 30 pound fish in one weekend at Cutty a few years back.

Psycho - Our subsurface metal lip swimmer... even hangs in the currents of the ditch. Use this lure in place of a bomber when wider bodied bait is present. Swims with a tight wiggle and no roll.

The Sea Strider - A Danny style swimmer that stays up top and has that "death dance" wobble down to a tee. Great around the runs at first light and also a big taker in the suds.

Beautiful Lures

Now where`s the rubber?

Nice work Asylum....very nice....best wishes in your endeavor!

Sleepwalker - Our spook that boasts a tall yet narrow profile, has flat sides to more closely resemble prominent bait fish. The flat sides also allow the caster to walk the dog in a tighter more natural way but if you slow your rhythm down, you'll get that wide searching bait look that conventionak spook style plugs give.

The Sniper - A needlefish that sits level in the water, even at rest. I know that the traditional arse down needles catch a boatloat of monster fish, personally, I like a needle that stays in a natural position at all times. So we designed the Sniper, still casts as well as other needles and will wiggle slighlty on a slow retrieve.

Very nice fellas... very nice.

Way to go - nice job. Been wondering when someone else would produce a floating needle for sale. My casting partner makes one that fills the bill when fishing in boulder fields.

Good luck in your venture.
