E-Tex ageing
I first read about applying E-tex on this site from a post by Mr Pogie (thank you Mr Pogie) and I seem to recall that he claimed that E-tex would go bad after a year and therefore one should buy small quantities .
Has anyone had a problem with E-tex going bad and if so what were the symptoms? |
I don't know
that's interesting I hope it does not go bad, I have a bunch of it I know epoxy does not go bad , and I thought it was epoxy |
I have had e-tex last for over a year with no problems but really do not know after that .You could check with the manufacter.

The resin will get darker an darker.with time.It won't effect the durability just the color.Making white plugs yellow/amber.Keep in dark place donot let it get cold.I have seen it when it gets real old gets unusable like crystaline jelly.
|
If it turns to cristal jelly just heat it up in hot water or microwave, it won't hurt it.

Thanks guys , I guess I won't throw out my E-tex just yet .

Yellow, yes slightly compared to others that turn dark brown in a couple months to a year. I have e-tex to be the most stable of its kind. |
