Lead tape for weighting plugs ?

I just picked up a pack of lead tape pieces in the GOLF section of one of those ***Mart stores. they come about 8 to a pack, stick-on, and are about 1" or so long, maybe 1/4" wide, and only about 1/8" thick.

Looks like you can just adhere them to the bottom of a plug for added weight. I was even thinking of spray painting a few in the same color as the bottom of a plug and then epoxying them on. Might be good on those redfins and 6" Mavericks.

Anyone use it. ?

I used it a LONG time ago. It definitely stuck to the plug. As far as effectiveness? I really sucked back then so... ????

you can try it,but I would just stick w/ water as the water will balance it self out the tape won't.
