Like I said i would have to look in a book to find the name.First I would have to find the book an then look it up. I think traditionally it is a reverse pattern.I put a NIB twist on it.the original is a old pattern was effective As a fly due to the big head it would form.(pushes alot of water) |

Talked to Tony today at the show. Gave him a little something so now maybe someday I may have a NIB plug. The reverse "ho" technique. Could work:huh: . P.

Reverse Tie Technique
NIB, the tying technique is called reverse tie. Tie the bucktail on with the fiber facing forward, then fold it back in itself and tie off. It was originated by Carrie Stevens, who tied classic landlocked salmon flies back in the 20'/30's. One of her most famous streamer patterns is called the Gray Ghost. She tied several bucktail patterns for saltwater fishing using this technique. ( Her patterns adapt beautifully to big flatwings for saltwater fly fishing.) It was later used in a series of flies called Thunder Creek flies (great silveside patterns) and more recently by Bob Popovics in his Hollow Flyes.
