Have Oppenheimer in my simple IRA retirement plan. So far so good. The fees are a little high though. Performance has equaled or exceeded most of the major averages since 2002 when I opened the account. 22 more years and I can start withdrawals. I can't wait....

Ahh, finally something here I can add value too!
Dont worry about fund brand names, thats not whats important. Its the goal or stratgy of the fund that matters first. Do you want to invest in US Stocks, what types? Large growth, small ? Mid? Value? How about internaltional? Bonds? You should have a diversified portfolio based on your goals and time when you'll need the $. 30 yr olds should be investing differently than 60 yr olds.
After you determine the statagies you want, next consider brands that offer those strategies and then look at the fees. Thats where you get hit. I am a fan of index funds, those track an index. like the SP500, thus they are not actively managed so you dont have to pay portfolio managers $$$$$ to manage your funds.
PM me if you have specifc ? This is complicated stuff but you can make it easy
