If you have 2 6500 reels, your best bet would be to put a 150 yd spool of braid on first then fill the rest with mono backing. Then reverse it onto the reel you want...

That's a great tip! It sure beats merely removing more mono every time you replace the braid until you can fit the whole spool. Ask me how I know...:wall:

Mine hold 300 yards of most varieties of 50# braid. Except for Spectron, where they hold 300 yards of 35#.
