Super Swap Plugathon?
I was wondering if the guys in the superswap are willing to do a plugathon for the biggest striper.I figure you have to only submit a bass caught on a superswap plug and the winner gets a plug from all the participants. What do you all say?
Sure. C&R with a pic next to a tape measure OK?
Catch and release as an option is fine...never know what one might want to keep and why but it should be up to the individual....pic with a tape measure is good and lets go by weight could we?
Maybe i should post a poll?i figured we use the same rules as the regular plugathon.
length is probly better?? more people have an accurate tape than an accurate scale and eisier to get a pic??
what about boat fish? |
Im in. Tape is easier. What about a category for catching fish with each plug? Learn how to use them......
I figured to keep it simple lets say to start this off
Rule#1 Striped-Bass must be caught on a super swap plug only (any plug from the swap) Rule#2 Overall Length of fish shall determine the winner Rule#3 Fish may be caught on Boat or Surf as long as it does not break rule#1 Rule#4 Only SuperSwap participants may enter (last day for entry to be determined by consensus),Also ending date to be detemined by consensus. Rule#5 Rule#5 Winner shall be awarded 1 plug from each builder who participates in this contest and also one plug for the builder of the plug that was used to catch the winning fish. Just my .02 |
Lou that sounds perfect. The only question when have we ever reached a consensus?

I can play by those rules. If no photo whitness or def. need photo?
i dunno?? it's honor system right?
you know your gunna get a 45" fish on my plug when you forget the camera., and the tape measure:hidin: |
I'll try n get a video of the release, you all have my address right?
Sounds good Lou, Im in!
Can I throw a curve into it...I was thinking this same thing lately but was thinking that you split the plugs and award half of them to the guy that caught the Fish and half to the guy that made the plug that caught the fish. Kind of share the wealth.
Does that sound viable....either way I'm in though |
good call TDF
may I be so bold to sugest, instead of splitting the plugs we make 2, one for the builder one for the big bass
I'm in however you guys want to do it. How about bluefish:yak: :hihi:

I'm in. Honor system is fine by me. I trust my fellow SuperSwap ho s. Two plugs sounds fine.

I was trying to keep it simple TDF i figured the plug that caught the winning fish would give that builder bragging rights.I have no objection to making myself oops i mean the winning plugs builder a plug.So then Rule#5 Winner shall be awarded 1 plug from each builder who participates in this contest and also one plug for the builder of the plug that was used to catch the winning fish. What say you all? |
Another thought: Can we use our own plugs and win two plugs? Or is that pushing it?:nopain:
I`m In!
in my dreams :hidin: |

I made extras of my plug.... as i'm sure many of us did... and I do plan on using it.... will fish caught on it be "off the record"? I'm in either way... and 2 plugs sounds good to me. I think I'll catch my biggest swap fish on that BigFish popper.... just a hunch I dunno.

i am in any which way
I'm in any which way also.

everybody sends me two plugs  ;).. Just funnin' I think I got it figgered out.. one to builder, one to who gets the biggest.. pic with fish, plug and tape measure... whats the signup cutoff?, and plugoff runs to what, Jan 1??? Can fish one ya made for self, as long as its the same as you sent out, or no?... don't matter, eastendlu is In Charge, what he says... goes :) One suggestion.. howsabout length and girth, in case of tie in length... just a thought. |
