question about flaptail plugs
 

what type swivel works best for the flap tail on a flap tail? is it supposed to spin or just flap? (i know i'm gonna get creamed for that dumb question)..

is it best to just wire the swivel onto the tail loop?

use a stainless one. if you epoxy in your wire, its going to be imposible to change it.

Split ring from tail loop to swivel, than from the opposite side of swivel, split ring to flaptail.

I like a decent quality split ringed ball bearing swivel....turns so sweet and it doesn`t need to be heavy duty or the most expensive.

The first plug I tried like this was a Gary2 slim surfster swimmer in white about 3 years ago? Time flies..... even at a slow slow pace the flaptail turns easily and flashes and splashes so sexily :cheers:

A very nicely done flaptail .

Ball bearing, stamina has some cheapo japanese stainless ones that work just fine. Not a dumb question at all.
