MakoMike 04-12-2006 03:48 PM

Do you still want me to take him shark fishing? :hihi:

Backbeach Jake 04-12-2006 04:16 PM

Good for you Katie! It must be a HUGE relief not having that threat around you all day at school. I'm glad for you.

Nebe 04-12-2006 04:18 PM

Good for you Katie, now learn from this experience and hopefully you will never get yourself into this kind of situation agian.

Katie 04-12-2006 07:14 PM

shark fishing.... now that has a nice ring to it... :p yeah it is a HUGE HUGE relief not having to keep looking behind me or have to look down at the floor when i'm walking when hes around..now if i can just make it through till june 21st without anything happening, we'll be golden.. :D

Skip N 04-12-2006 10:46 PM

Wow thats good news. A school system accually kicked out a bully from school?! Thats a rarity now a days! Next time some dude starts something, a swift kick in the nads will always do the trick :tooth: That'll make 'em think twice next time.

Sorry, but I will never understand this mindset.

Katie is the victim here---she did nothing wrong, and nothing to "get herself" into the situation.

She was hassled by a punk, and she and her family did everything RIGHT. Instead of just letting it slide, or striking back with violence, they went thru the proper channels, reported it to the proper authorities, and saw it thru.

What do you suggest she should "learn"? That it doesn't pay to stand up to a bully? To have kept her mouth shut and let some punk hassle her--not to mention other kids?

You lefties kill me sometimes with the way you think :hs:  :wall:

Nebe 04-13-2006 07:47 AM

It takes 2 people to start a confrontation. I know nothing of what happened between them, but if there were multiple confrontations, then kattie gave the punk the reaction he was looking for the 1st time and he kept coming back looking fo rmore.. Learning from what happened would be something like this- a bully comes up and harrasses her.. she smirks and walks away. the bully will then go find someone else to get a reaction from. Its that simple.

Mike P 04-13-2006 09:14 AM

The most accurate thing you said in this whole thread was that you know nothing about the situation.

What school did you go to? Sheltered life?
That's not the way it is in the real world!
Seen it many times where a punk with start screwing with someone just for the hell of it, no reason needed for some people. Seen it all the way thru school and with my kids after that. Hear many of the same stuff from my brother who is a teacher also. Some kids can be real cruel unfortunatelly.

Katie, good for you! Glad you went about it in the right way and it all worked out the way it should have.

Nebe blaming Katie for the bullys actions is insane. I really dont know what to say...I just dont understand how this is somehow Katies fault?

Nevermind FAULT. don't see how anyone can say she had anything at all to do with it...except being a victim.

Flaptail 04-13-2006 12:44 PM

Cool Katie! Now hit the books!:buds:

Right on. Bullys just choose someone to pick on, like what happened to Katie. Nothing she could have done to avoid this. To attempt to place some of the blame on katie is insulting.

Liberalism is a mental disorder :tooth:

Redsoxticket 04-13-2006 01:58 PM

Give Neben a break, he meant well. There is no need to bully him via the internet.

The Dad Fisherman 04-13-2006 02:15 PM

You learn something from every situation that life presents you. Its the People who don't that you need to watch out for. :D

What Did Katie Learn? That if she ever finds herself stuck, and i Do mean Stuck....she did nothing wrong here, in this position again, to work with her parents and the School system to do it the right way. Like Mike P said No Violence, not backing down, and seeing it through to the end.

Good Job Katie.....You did your Parents Proud.

PNG 04-13-2006 03:46 PM

I'm glad for you Katie. Pops ticker must be a little relieved as well.

One to grow on.

Katie 04-13-2006 05:24 PM

thanks guys for your support and your input, it helped us a lot through this..

Nebe 04-13-2006 06:29 PM

For the record, i never blamed katie... I simply suggested she learn from it. Each day we are on this planet should be used as a learing experience to make us better people.

Did i live a sheltered life as a kid??? nope.. went through Newport's public school system. Never got into a fight.. had lots of friends.. had lots of girl friends.. life was good. The reason i never got into fights wasnt because i was a coward, it was because I was mature enough to walk away.

thats all i got to say. Glad your doing alright katie :D
