jigging for squid

Hi,
Does anyone jig for squid? I bought some Yozuri squid jigs this year and wanted to try getting some bait. I heard that wood's hole was a good spot.

Can you do this from shore or do you have to do it from a boat? I've never done it.

thanks,

Boat or shore, you just have to be where the squid are.
I hear that they are starting to catch them in Newport.

Squid

I squid from the town wharf with a couple of high intensity lights to draw the bait in and after a while the squid show. I use an orange jig and a glow in the dark . The glow in the darks work the nuts along the edge of the light line. There were some 12-16 inch squid just west of me Tuesday night. A couple of more weeks and they should be in strong. Woods hole was always good when I was a kid , we used coleman lanterns for the light.
Good Luck

Thanks for the help. At Wood's hole is there a dock that you can
cast from?

I have fished for fluke of the docks at Monument beach. That seems like it would be a good spot. Anyone try there?
