canal herring run report 4/22/06
 

went down to the herring run in the canal there was about a dozen herring in the first holding pool.threw a crippled herring for a while then a jr atom no hits but i saw a silver flash then herring scattering right in front of the run but no hits on my plug or tin i wonder if it was a bass or cod.

I saw 2 guys fishing around 8:30am...was that you? Did not get out fishing due to the wind but hope to get out there again soon. Did you try any other areas?

CR - that area has been loaded with seals lately, could have been one of those nasty things chasing/eating the herring.....

i was there around 5pm,i worked both sides of the herring run and several other spots on the way
