WICC Bluefish Tourney

Just got into work/Boston from the WICC tourney in Long Island Sound... Lots of small blues to 8-9 pounds but no monsters. Tournet winner was 18.11 (recorded to exact weight ) with 4 of the top 20 fish being caught around Stratford where John M and the Wordmeister were fishing, wonder how they did... We got about 60 blues in the boat and had covered water from Bridgeport to Southwest of City Island, New Youk near the Throgs Neck Bridge.

Five guys, 20' boat, 2 flats of dead fish, sandwiches loaded with onions, and NO PORTA-POTTI!!! Had a blast though, can't wait to do it again!!!!

RE:WICC Bluefish Tourney

We were getting good blitzes of smaller fish (6-8#) off the Norwalk islands as well as Southport harbor. Almost all if not all of our wish were taken with plugs. Even when we had plugs and chunks going at the same time, topwater was the only thing working for us (we had bunker and mackerel)... It sure as hell was a blast!!! The only things missing was a 19# blue and a porta-potti....Glad you two had a great time!!! Looking forward to fishing this tourney next year
