Mike there were none there today, went straight there after we left your shop. Got 2 small at Wewe, another guy said a few over 30" were caught in the morning. That seems to be a hot spot. See you next weekend.

Specialist..
We were out in front of Long Beach today and had a great time feeding live herring to the small stripers ..It seems that they couldn't swallow the bait but kept knocking them out at the surface and pulling them down only to release..Great spectacle. caught and released one 32 incher. :) |
welcome aboard Dan.
so your fishing in my back yard. Glad you had fun.biggins are in the Wewe early morning first light |
Thanks Mike...
I think I've only seen first light once over the River in the past 3 years we've fished there. I need a better alarm clock;) ...or to be retired!:laughs: |
Next weekend I am going to be there at firstlight.
|
There's no early season keepers in Wareham! They're all at the Ditch - go there instead :hihi:
Dan - welcome to S-B! |
John,
Being a novice I have no idea where the "Ditch" is located. Base on your location somewhere W. of Westerly, are we talking Ct? My brother did catch a 32"er in the Canal last week..so there are some around.. Thanks for the welcome..:) |
Where your brother caught the keeper, The Canal, is also known as the ditch.
|
novice my a$$ .... ;) The world famous Pawcatuk Canal. It's the dividing natural defensive moat that tries but fails to keep CT'ers out of the Ocean State
|
The Pawcatuk - no signs of life there. Stick to the Ditch:laughs:
