Scent or Not to Scent...

I started this question in another thread but would like a more thourough response section.
What are your thoughts on scenting?
You do/don't?

This is one thing that I am contemplating on changing this year.

I add fish oil to the eels i make- today i had a bass hit one of my baits 3 times before it found the hook...That bass wanted to kill my eel and had no doubts in its mind that my rubber eel was not real. When i used to fish other soft plastics that were not scented, i would usually get one whack tops and if i missed the hookup that was it...
scenting is very important IMO..

I use em. The only evidence I have is that a number of times I have nailed a fish immediately after scenting. On the other hand, I have caught on lures with out scent then added it and not caught. Who knows. Gotta get myself some of them surf hogs :bounce:

I also have brought this up. I bought the sandworm potion and plan to try it this year but would you want to put the sandworm potion on a topwater plug? Or bunker oil on a tube n worm? I can't wait to try a little WD-40 as well just for fun to see if it actually works.
