Has anyone tried boiling and lots of butta?

Skitterpop 05-04-2006 09:51 PM

Who pulled off the antennae?

Big River Candy for the dark slack :uhuh:

Wow that's nice! I wonder why those types of lures aren't more popular around here, is it because the tried and true methods work well enough? Maybe it is hard to immitate the action of a lobster?

likwid 05-05-2006 10:36 AM

Rig it backwards and bounce it across the bottom SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW with random bursts.

Pete F. 05-05-2006 10:37 AM

Is it made from a plaster cast of a short?

Springtides 05-05-2006 12:38 PM

I saw that thing at a recent meeting. Tough rubber and the tail will curl naturally if you rig it like likwid says. Sweet work.

Rockport24 05-05-2006 01:07 PM

cool, maybe you could "tandem rig" it with gami's and dacron?
;)

Because it weighs 4 oz without any lead :laughs:

Canalman 05-05-2006 04:36 PM

And it probably casts like a piece of prime rib... however... it does look deadly... nice mold job.

So? I will add a 9/0 hook on a 4 oz leadhead jig and it will be 8 ounces:uhuh:

You have a meat stick rod, love to what grabs that..:humpty:

tlapinski 07-22-2006 10:30 AM

So, any results on these yet?

Skitterpop 07-22-2006 10:44 AM

I had one with chowder and broth....kinda chewy :smokin:

Nice bait! I think rigging will be critical. Does anyone know how the mad Russiian used to rig his lobsters?

Skitterpop 07-22-2006 11:39 AM

like a crayfish

gone fishin 07-22-2006 08:51 PM

That looks excellent! I wonder what the current will do to it in the ditch. I know just the hole to chuck it in.:humpty:

tattoobob 07-22-2006 08:58 PM

I saw one in Truro B&T last week it was rigged with hooks in the claws and one in the tail. looked like it would slay

nothing yet, but I only tried it in the canal attached to a 4 oz jighead because that was the only one I had with a 9/0 hook. I couldn't cast it very far at all. maybe if I had a hole close in someplace , it may work rigged like tattoobob said. we'll see

maybe I can try it on cuttyhunk in the fall
